Clam Up Pouch
These adorable clam shaped zipper pouches are great for storing a wide variety of items; tech gear, makeup, and more. They also make a great gift. You can choose to make your bag quilted or un-quilted. If you want to, you can use iron on vinyl on the lining (for un-quilted version).
Supplies Needed:
Pattern: Clam Up Zippered Pouches from By Annie
3 Fabrics:
- Main Fabric (outside of the bag): Fat Quarter
- Lining Fabric: Fat quarter
- Coordinating Fabric: Fat Eighth (4 ½" x 20")
By Annie's Soft and Stable or similar foam stabilizer: 17" x 12" for Large
Handbag Zipper (double slide zippers with wide tape) 20" or longer for Large
Optional:
Iron-On Vinyl (only if not quilting your pouch)
You can make a template from template plastic or freezer paper, but I will have one to share.
Sewing machine in good working order
Bobbins and thread to match / coordinate with fabrics
Denim or Top Stitch needles size 80 or 90
Stiletto
Zipper Foot
¼" foot
Walking Foot if you have one
Scissors
Wonder Clips or similar
Basic sewing supplies: snips, seam ripper, etc.
