Choosing Fabric
This quilt uses scraps for the background as well as the stars.
Don’t overlook using background scraps with some color to them.
Backgrounds don’t always need to be white or off-white. Think
about pale pinks—especially if you’re making a baby quilt. Pale
blues would work if you’re expecting a boy! You could also use
tans or grays, or light fabrics with a little bit of color scattered
throughout. Whatever you choose, make sure the fabrics for your
stars contrast well with your background and you’ll surely have a
winning combination.
