Have you ever bought a bag pattern—online or in a store—gotten it home, and then stopped
because you weren’t sure where to begin? You can read the directions, but sometimes they just
don’t make sense.
Let’s take the mystery out of bag making!
In this class, we will NOT be making a bag. Instead, we’ll focus on building your confidence
and understanding so you’re ready to start—and finish—your own projects.
In this class, we will cover:
- Where to find and purchase bag patterns (online and in-store)
- How to download and print patterns (yes, there is a trick!)
- How to choose a pattern and visualize the finished bag
- Understanding stabilizers and interfacings (all those Pellon numbers!)
- Fabric choices—what works and what doesn’t
- Linings
- Hardware basics
Bring your questions and any challenges you’ve run into so far. This will be a fun, relaxed class
where you’ll learn practical skills you can use right away.
