Before class homework:
Quilt your main fabric and lining fabric together! We have a few options for you so we can keep this class to 2 days we are asking for the fabric to be quilted before class.
Option 1:
Bring your fabric to Wild Oats, or your favorite longarm quilter, and have them quilt the fabric with the soft & stable instead of batting. For this you will want to make sure your lining fabric is about 1/4 yard bigger for them to attach to the frame.
Option 2:
Free-motion quilt your fabrics at home on your own.
- Cut your main fabric, lining, and soft machine free-motion quilting:
Sandwich your main fabric and lining fabric with the soft and stable. You can do straight lines, loops or whatever your heart desires.
Option 3:
Join our 1 day class on the basics of how to free-motion quilt a quilt sandwich for a bag or small quilt. Click here!
Day 1:
Step I: Cut fabric
Step III: Prepare Handles, Straps & Tabs
Step IV: Preparing pockets and Ends
Step II: Bias binding (May do on day 2 depending on where we get on day 1)
