| Instructor Bio: | I began my Journey with quilting when I was inspired to make my parents a cross stitch quilt for their wedding anniversary. My next quilt was a joint project with my brother. We worked together to capture our generational family tree for our mother who struggled with memory issues. Since the beginning, my quilts have been made out of love for my family. I have always been part of an artistic family. As I grew, I found that i loved fabric. My collection of fabric led me to finding something to do with it, which directed me towards collage quilting. I was drawn to it for the originality each piece provides, but also the creativity it allows. I have since created all types of quilts from traditional patterns to art quilts. I now teach collage quilting, which is a fun and creative style of art quilting using a free form applique approach. This technique utilizes designs cut from a variety of fabrics so my scrap collection is to die for! In addition to quilting, I have dabbled in three-dimensional fabric art in the form of dragons. |
